He's Taken

The other night I was sitting in bed stitching. I am doing a quick project from Blackbird Designs called Bird In Hand. I try to start my day with stitching and end my day with stitching. Anyhoo, this was one of the evenings that Big Daddy was home. He works out of town and is gone alot, so I'm more used to him being gone than being home. So, he's sitting beside me in bed watching me stitch and talking. Then, out of the blue, he puts his hand under my chart. What the....? I said, "What are you doing?". He replied, with a totally straight face. "Bird in Hand - get it?" Oh.My.Word.
Sorry, ladies, he's taken. LOL!!!

Here are just a few pics of one wall and my desk area in my new craft room.I ws going to wait until the room is a little neater, but I'll just show them as a work in progress! LOL1 The other 2 areas in the room need some sprucing before pictures, so I'll show them later. I LOVE ORGANIZATION! I hope to get all the boxes labeled at some point and even have all the materials for one type of craft on one shelf - cross stitch, beads, yarns, etc. That might take me awhile! Anyway, here they are and one of a finish! It's a Little House Needleworks All Dolled Up ornament. LOVE these! I'm doing alot of prep stitching - that's what I call it at least. I happen to love one color cross stitches and have recently aquired 2 from Blackbird designs. I did all the stitches going in one direction so that when it's football practice or hockey practice or in the car, I don't have to concentrate on a pattern. Just take it out and stitch. I try to have several of these ready to go for the summer. Well, talk to you soon! Oh, I just posted alot of cross stitch and quilting patterns for sale on ebay - I'm destashing. Before I restash! LOL!

It's almost done!

I have been working on organizing my sewing room and it's almost done. I will have pictures by the end of the week and I'm so excited!! Just the bit I have done is an improvement. The room is right off of our master bedroom and is a nice space that I can totally devote to crafting. The goal is to get all of the stuff that is around the house in one spot. I'e also been very productive in the stitching area, as well. Finishing Friday will have to be Sat, because I have to work, but I should have several things to show. I mailed Carol's winnings off and Michelle's April goodie to her. Feels good to get stuff done! We are in spring hockey and there is a game tonight. That's good stitching time, too. All that waiting at the rink = stitches done!! Well, I'll be back to update soon. I'm excited to show the pictures!

Easter in Tennessee

I'm not great at putting pictures on Blogger. They just seem to go in the wrong spot, but I hope you will get the gest! We had lots of traffic going down (never travel on Good Friday, if you can help it). I think all of Michigan was migrating south ahead of us! We had lots of fun with the grandchildren and family. I got lots of stitching done! It was a great time and we look forward to our next trip in Oct!!

Not quite back to blogging, but I have a request

I'll be back blogging on Monday (I know you won't be able to contain yourself at that news), but I just popped in with a request. My father-in-law was just diagnosed with cancer. I won't go into details, because it's not my story to tell, but our whole family needs prayer, if you are so inclined. Life will continue as usual, but I just felt that I could ask you to do this. His name is John. This is very difficult for Big Daddy and the kids. For me, too. This man has been in my life for 23 years. I want him to be better and not have to go through this, but it's not up to me. Well, thanks for indulging me. Please pass this on to others, I'd like to lift them all up in prayer as much as possible. Now,go hug someone you love!

I'm Back!

I'm back from vacation, but not feeling very well. Nothing serious, just change in climate things, I think. I will have pictures to post, a thank you to Michelle for her beautiful exchange (wait until you see it!) and my giveaway!
