Here are some finished finishes - I love how they look on what I think is a mug tree? I found this at the thrift store and it's perfect for holding a few ornaments and really showcasing them. I have another one that only has 3 arms and now I'm on the lookout for more. They are perfect to place on a table for the holidays! I'm trying to get a little more "fancy" with the backs and embellishing them a little bit, so I tried to fussy up some of them with buttons or charms on the back. It's fun looking for just the right thing to go with a design! Here are some pics - hope you like them!!
Cute ornaments! You did a great job!
ReplyDeleteYour finished ornaments look fabulous! Great find at the thrift shop! Does your 'tree' have a maple leaf near the bottom?

Very cute....1 step ahead of me....I stitch but desperately need to do some finishing. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis is just about the cutest display idea I've ever seen!!! What a great way to "re-purpose" an item. Your ornaments are so nice...I think your finishes are just perfect! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you've really been busy, Lisa--each one is just darling :)
ReplyDeleteWhat GREAT finishes. Now I'm off to stitch. Please look at August 30th comment that I left.

Robin - yes, there is a maple leaf at the bottom! Do you have one, too? I hope I find more like it - they are great for displays!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!!
Patti - you are totally right. I know that this is a situation that I should be totally happy about. Things happen for a reason and right now I am doing the grandma (meme, actually) thing, mom thing and the stitching thing and I'll just take what happens next as it comes. Your comment was most welcome!
ReplyDeleteToo funny Lisa: I'm from the North and moved South...maybe we should meet in the middle some day! Love your mug holder--repurposed! That's the new word in my life--I find great things at the thrift stores and "re-purpose" them into pincushions, etc--isn't it a blast! Love your finishes too, looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog via Susan's. Oh wow what cute ornaments! It's nice to see the one on the purple fabby stitched up as I'm starting that one next!
